Week 5 Vocabulary Definitions & Examples

Apply (verb)- To bring into nearness or contact with something; put on, upon, or to.

Labor (noun, verb)-(n) Physical or mental exertion, especially when difficult or exhausting; work.
(v) To work, to toil

Contract (noun, verb)-(n)An agreement between two or more parties, especially one that is written and enforceable by law.
(v)To enter into by contract; establish or settle by formal agreement.

EXAMPLES:

Apply - You should apply for a part-time job so that you can earn spending money and a sense of responsibility.
Labor - My sister-in-law went into labor last night.
Contract - If you leave school for more than five days, you need to sign a work contract to complete missing work.
